Gift of Voice
I am pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for peers and providers of mental health services being offered by an organization known as Gift of Voice.
Located in Edwardsville, Illinois, Gift of Voice strives to train, empower and educate for the mental health of individuals, communities and churches. Gift of Voice is a faith based organization embracing Christian values working to have a loud voice shouting for the rights and for the ethical treatment of those who live with mental health disorders.
Training Series Being Offered
Gift of voice is offering a training series which began October 9 and is scheduled to continue until April 30 of 2018. The topics covered range from advocacy to how to navigate the mental health system.
The next training will take place on October 30th, in
Edwardsville, Illinois. It is titled
Developing Public Policy.
If you can, I would urge all who wish to understand better how to work with the mental health system in Illinois, and are interested in working in peer support to attend these marvelous training sessions.
